Inspired by the everyday scenes of any household, we took a single square piece of marble and divided it into a shoe bench, umbrella stand, tray, pen holder, and vase, forming a complete entrance furniture set.
The birth of “A Piece of Marble” originated from the Hualien International Stone Workshop. During our visit to the factory, we observed a large amount of discarded marble remnants. The marble processing involved removing a significant amount of stone, resulting in substantial waste. Instead of thinking about “how to repurpose the waste,” our question for the stone was: “Is it possible to create no waste from the very beginning?”
